In May 2016 we purchased three Tunis ewes.  We chose this heritage breed based on their ability to do well in the hot and humid summers of the South, their excellent parasite resistance, docile nature and triple purpose qualities–meat, wool and milk.  Our plan is to purchase a ram in 2017 as well as more ewes and breed in the fall of 2017, with the goal of offering breeding stock, freezer lamb and wool for sale by 2018.
